how to be involved

SBAC encourages active participation by member companies to establish its work programme and guide its priorities. It facilitates intelligent networks of members through its web based communities, boards and events. One of the major benefits of being a member of SBAC is the unique opportunity it provides to take part in the industry through SBAC's structure and through representation on influential external groups and bodies.

The SBAC structure comprises four elements:

  • governance, including SBAC Council and those communities and working groups assisting in the strategic development or financial management of SBAC.
  • market sector boards have a strong business and market lead addressing civil air transport, aerospace defence & homeland security and space activities.
  • operational boards oversee the three main areas of service that SBAC delivers: market development, industrial transformation, communications
  • member networks focus on interests that range across several market sector and operational boards. These include equipment & materials, autonomous systems and maintenance, repair, overhaul & logistics.

All of the communities and networks facilitated by SBAC are represented within the SBAC web site. This provides exclusive access to information and an opportunity to actively engage and influence the work being undertaken and the views SBAC expresses.
